‘Sokari’ goes on aboard

The stage play ‘Sokari’ based on the old folk drama in Sri Lanka, which was formed according to the rural traditions of Shanthikarmas that were performed to goddess Paththini seeking fertitility and prosperity will be staged at 3.30 pm and 6.45 pm on Sunday October 14 at Namel Malani punchi Theatre Borella.

Sokari a form of drama which was originally enacted throughout the nights for seven days in the past is shortened to a play that runs for two and half hours while maintaining the old characteristics that it contains.

Directed by award winning playwright Jaliya Rajapaksha the play is organised by Jude Srimal. All seat box planned and available at the theatre.
