St. Bridget’s Convent, Colombo won the overall field events championship title at the 83rd Sir John Tarbet senior athletic championship organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Athletic Association at the Mahinda Rajapakse International Stadium, Diyagama recently.
They gained 49 points to secure the girls overall field event championship trophy. The medallists of the champion St. Bridget’s included Amanthi Silva (under 18 girls discus throw champion and shot putt champion, Kushnara Herath (under 18 girls shot putt silver medal), Andrea Perera (under 18 girls discuss throw bronze medal) and Navodha Perera (under 16 girls high jump champion and long jump silver medal).
