“RASOGHAYA 2012” a huge success
Annual literature function of Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, Bandarawela was held on October 4, 2012 at the Town Hall Bandarawela.
It was organized by the Media Unit and the Sinhala Language Section of the college as “RASOGHAYA 2012”
The occasion was graced by the Great Artist and the Senior Lecturer Jayalal Rohana as the chief guest. Minister of Productivity Promotion Laxman Senevirathna, the Provincial Education Director Mr.R.M.P.Rathnayake and the principals of theacquaintance schools were invited as special guests.
The one and a half hours of lecture by the chief guestJayalal Rohana was admirable hours which was really fit to the theme “RASOGAYA ; means “Feel and comprehend”. He stated”Whether we talk or sing, we should directly talk to the heart of the listener.
The listener should be able to listen without any external force. As the future leaders, you need to learn how to feel and enjoy good meaningful songs and literary stories. You don’t think to go beyond your teachers.
You should not forget the ladder which helps you to climb on the tree of success. Always respect them.”
The Minister of Productivity Promotion Hon LaxmanSenevirathna stated “ When I got the invitation, the first thing I asked was to get the history of the school which showed me an extra-ordinary progress in both curricular and extracurricular activities in the recent years.
As a productivity promotion minister I have given as the first duty to implement the concepts in the school.
I can see how this school has implemented the concept to bring such a wonderful progress which is an example to all the other school.”
The winners of the art, cartoons and the essay competitionswere awarded a RASOGHAYA trophy and valuable books by the chief guest for their inborn talents, skills and creativities to instill their talent to be forever.
