‘Kalu Kumari’ in Colombo
View(s):Award winning playwright K.B. Herath’s latest theatrical production ‘Kalu Kumari’ will be staged at 3.30 p.m. and 6.45p.m. on Wednesday October 24 at the Namel Malini Punchi Theatre, Borella.
Having a number of popular plays like ‘Mayadevi’, ‘Naagagurula’, ‘Dona Katharina’, ‘Deweni Mahinda’, ‘Waasudewa’, ‘Yashodara’ and ‘Jaganma’ to his credit, KB is one of the few established playwrights in the Sri Lankan theatre. Nalin Pradeep Uduwela, Madini Maiwatte, Sumith Rathnayake, Ferny Roshini, Chandrasoma Binduhewa, Dulanjali Wijesena, Pinsara Samarasekara, Nishan Deshapriy Uditha Sameera Liyanage and Kelum Kalhara Gamlath play in ‘Kalu Kumari’ while music composition is by Shantha Pieris.
Suwaneetha Perera and Kamal Kanthi Bogoda handle costumes, Pradeep Chandrasiri stage settings and Buddadasa Galappaththi the make up while stage management is done by Keerthi K. Rathnayake. Kalu Kumari is produced by Serenity entertainment and organized by Jude Srimal. Tickets are available at Borella Namel Malani Punchi Theatre.
