Rs 300,000 monthly wage for typists, stenographers!

Contemporary typists cum stenographers have come in for big demand lately with a private Colombo security firm recently advertising for two personnel, either male or female.
The wage offered is an (unbelievable) monthly salary of Rs.300, 000 plus a chauffeur driven car with additional perks by the company which has offices in eight countries around the globe. “Oh I wish I can be a typist again,” quipped a senior CEO of a company who has moved up the ladder but draws much less that this offered rate.
Requirements were for those with the ability to type at a speed of 60 words per minute with no spelling mistakes; fluency in English; and proficiency in Microsoft programmes with adequate knowledge in Spreadsheets, Databases, Power Point, File Organization and Outlook, Documents and Letters, the advertisement read.
“The applicant must be capable of even working from home since they would be compelled to respond immediately to any of its officials telephoning from its overseas offices and reply to letters as well,” the newspaper ad stated.
These two typists cum stenographers would also be provided a mobile and a laptop to carry and attend to work from “wherever the place it may be,” the advertisement stated.
