Rich haul of medals for Rainbow

The Rainbow Swimming Academy returned from the Senior and Junior National Swimming Championships that was held at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex recently with a rich haul of 54 medals.
The seniors pocketed 40 medals and the juniors 14. The seniors tally comprised 11 golds, 23 silvers and 13 bronze. The juniors claimed four golds, three silvers and seven bronzes.
Senior National results – Girls
Nadeera Jayasekera – One gold, two silver and one bronze, Ridmi Rankothge – One silver. Hiruni De Zoysa – One gold and two silvers. Harini Silva – One silver and one bronze. Methama Jayawardena – One silver and one bronze.
Absent from photo – Chamodhi Fonseka – One bronze. Gihara Amarasinghe – One gold, two silvers and one bronze. Githmi Rajasinghe – One bronze.
Senior National results – Boys
Kanitha Munasinghe – Three golds and two silvers. Shehan Kaushalya – Two silvers. Amila Perera – Two silvers and one bronze.
Cherantha De Silva – One silver and two bronze. Yahiya Jaffer – One silver. Chandula Fernando – One silver.
Absent – W.K.S. Wickramaarachchi – One gold, one silver and two bronze. Kiran Jayasinghe – One silver and two bronze.
Junior results – Girls –
Gihini Nawala – One gold and one bronze. Avishi Samarasinghe – Two bronze. Kuvira Manamperi – One bronze.
