The two Indians who made it through were world number one Yogesh Paradeshi, who progressed from Group One, and Bharitadasan, who made it out of Group Seven. Sri Lanka too enjoyed a strong run in the men’s singles bracket, with Chamil Cooray and Dimal Senaratne making it through to the next round.

India have so far held absolute control over proceedings at the World Championships, seizing both the men’s and women’s doubles titles on the tournament’s opening day, before toppling Sri Lanka to claim the men’s and women’s World Team titles.

Beginning on October 31, the Carrom World Championships will come to an end today after hosting the world’s best players from countries such as India, Sri Lanka, The Maldives, Pakistan, Canada, USA, and Italy to name a few.
