Lanka hopes to better previous record at Int. Baseball Festival
Sri Lanka’s Baseball team captained by Madushan Perera will leave for Pakistan on Tuesday to take part in the Punjab International Baseball Festival 2012 to be held in Lahore. The tournament hosted by the Pakistan Federation Baseball will be held from November 7 to 15 with the participation of six international team
Among the teams taking part are hosts Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Nepal, Afghanistan and doubtful participants India. This will be the second and final international competition for Sri Lanka during this year as they hope to better their previous record of a silver medal won in April. Sri Lanka emerged runners-up to hosts Pakistan in April at the West South Asia Championship which took place with the participation of five teams.
