SLIIT Malabe clinch Leaders Trophy
The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) Malabe won the men’s championship as they beat the Australian College of Business and Technology (ACBT) 39-38 in the Leaders Trophy inter-university basketball tournament final, played at the Kotalawala Defence University indoor stadium in Ratmalana recently.
Fourteen teams representing higher education Institutions including four universities took part in the men’s championships, conducted by Kotalawala Defence University for the Leaders Cup. SLIIT also won the two individual awards for the Best Defensive Player – D.M.G.T. Lakshantha (SLIIT) and the Most Valuable Player – Videha Doratha (SLIIT).
