France in shades of grey at “Nostalgie02”

Following its very successful run at the Lionel Wendt in Colombo in June this year, ‘Nostalgie02’ an exhibition of black and white photographs by Kumar de Silva,will be presented by the Alliance française de Kandy at its Gallery at 642, Peradeniya Road, from Saturday November 17 to Monday 26th.

Director of the Alliance française de Kandy, Dr. Jacques Soulié says, “We are happy to receive this exhibition in Kandy. The reviews have been very favourable and we look forward to sharing the sights and scenes of France, and in black and white too, with our friends here in Kandy.”

This exhibition constitutes the second part of their annual programme Kandy Alliance Photo, echoing the Month of Photography in Paris. Kandy Alliance Photo, commencing in November 2002, has featured throughout the years the works of 22 photographers from Sri Lanka, France and USA.

‘Nostalgie02’ will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all days.
