hSenid partners with Lasith Malinga’s Melbourne Stars
View(s):Sri Lankan IT company hSenid announced that it had signed on as a partner and Human Resources (HR) solutions for the Melbourne Stars, an Australian domestic Twenty20 (T20) cricket team competing in the KFC T20 Big Bash tournament. The team is captained by Shane Warne and features popular Sri Lankan bowler, Lasith Malinga, who was on hand for hSenid’s announcement. Mr. Malinga will be playing for the team over the Australian summer, commencing from December 7, 2012, and concluding on January 19, 2013, which is the tournament’s second season.
As part of its partnership deal, branding for the company’s PeopleHR human resources solution will appear on the team uniforms as well as at the team’s home stadium of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. hSenid also noted that the cities participating in this tournament, i.e. Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, also overlapped with the main concentration areas for hSenid in Australia.
According to hSenid Founder and Chief Executive, Dinesh Saparamadu, Australia is a key market for the IT company and this partnership will further enhance hSenid’s brand presence in this market, in which the Sri Lankan company has already been investing over the last 18 months.
He further stated; “Lasith Malinga, one of our own, is a rising star with the team and we wanted to connect with a team which had a Sri Lankan connection. We hope to make this partnership mutually beneficial showcasing Sri Lankan talent and capabilities in a mature market like Australia. This gives us long term strategic advantage to establish ourselves in this market”.
