Andy, Sampath fireworks gives MAS Active victory
Calypso style batting by Andy Solomons, who slammed a 62 ball 88 with eight boundaries and four sixes and T.M. Sampath, who made an unbeaten 42 ball knock of 74 that included seven boundaries and four sixes, helped MAS Active record a convincing seven wickets win over ETI in their MCA Division A limited over encounter played at De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa.
Andy and Sampath put on a match winning stand of 98 runs for the second wicket helping MAS Active who were chasing 203 runs for victory to reach the target in just 31.1 overs.

Udawatte and skipper Chamara Silva who put on a massive 157 runs for the fourth wicket helping them to make a formidable 283 for 7 in their 50 overs. Mahela slammed a top score of 148 which included seven boundaries and five sixes. Chamara’s contribution was 82 which included five boundaries and three sixes. Seylan Bank in their run chase was nowhere near the target as they were able to muster only 198.
A last ball six by Buddhi Perera saw HNB record a thrilling one wicket win over John Keells at the Thurstan ground in Reid Avenue. Earlier a knock of 103 by Michael Vandort proved to be in vain for John Keells.
