Bartleet Finance PLC successfully organized a seminar for Montessori Owners and Head Teachers in Colombo District as the first step of their CSR program towards developing the Standards of the Sri Lankan Montessori schools.

This event was held at the Public Library auditorium on Friday, 16th Of November with the participation of Mr. Eraj Wijesinghe – Managing Director & CEO, Directors Mr. S Raghavan, Mr. Susantha De Alwis & Mr. Buwaneka Subasinghe and other senior Officials of the Company. Mr. Wimal Sarathchandra – Director Preschool Statute Implementation Unit participated as the Guest of Honour.

Mr. S Raghavan – Executive Director warmly welcomed the gathering for the event & said that Bartleet Finance is now in a position to offer a wide range of products to children from newborn babies to teenagers with a basket of benefits to suit different age groups. He also mentioned that it is the intention of the company to promote the savings habit among our community.

Mr. Eraj Wijesinghe – MD/ CEO explained the company’s vision and plans as how they will work towards the improvement of the standards of the Montessori Education in the country.

Mr. Sampath Nishantha – The General Manager of the company highlighted the values and the responsibilities of a Montessori Teacher and invited all the participants to get the maximum benefit from the program.

Mr. Wimal Sarathchandra – Director of Preschool Statute Implementation Unit explained the importance of the Preschool education to a child and explained the changes that have to be brought in.

Mrs. Sybil Wettasinghe the most famous Author and illustrator for children delivered a very valuable lecture as how to identify the mindset of a child and how to improve their artistic skills and thinking levels. Mrs. Shrimani Wanigasekera who is a veteran English teacher educated the gathering on the value of English as a language.

Mr. Manjushri Thotapitiya – The Senior Manager Savings of Bartleet Finance announced that they have organized an Art competition among all the Montessori schools in Colombo and a grand Art exhibition too will be followed. Any Montessori child who is willing to participate at this art competition has to submit their artwork through their Montessori teachers on or before 30th Of November 2012. Also he said that all children who are participating for the event will have the opportunity to publish their artwork at the Exhibition organized by Bartleet Finance which will be a valuable chance that a child will get in his/her life. He said that the winners will be getting attractive gifts in addition to the valid certificate given to all participants.
