View(s):What will the world of tomorrow be like?
“The future’s very unpredictable”, many people say,
But I think the future would be bright if everything went my way!
Eco-friendly cars, shrinking buildings and of course,
rocket launchers would be found,
Plus square robots, tiny robots and robots that look round!
Tickets to the movies would only cost 50 rupees you see, And everyone in the nation would be happy like me.
Overall as I said, the future would be bright,
Only if everything went my way; everyone would see a lovely sight!

My favourite toy
My favourite toy’s name is Ramone. It is purple in colour. It is a car. It is my favourite toy because it can hydraulically lift its four wheels. I am hoping to add it to my Pixar collection.

Lizi and my sister
Lizi is a funny, thin baby lizard. My sister is friendly with Lizi. I will tell you how they became friends.
So, one day my sister was (oops.. sorry, I didn’t tell you my sister’s name), her name is Sayuni and she is my younger, naughty sister.
So, one day Sayu (my sister’s pet name) was walking in our garden and she saw a lizard and said “Hello!” and started to talk with the lizard and they became friends.
From that day onwards, my sister gave fruits and rice but Lizi didn’t eat. The ugly part of the story is that my sister gave a dead cockroach to Lizi and Lizi ate it. Now Nangi is happy.
Oh! It’s a little crazy story isn’t it? Don’t you think my Nangi is a little crazy too?

My lovely class trip
On October 25, 2012 we went on a field trip! We started our journey at 7 a. m. and when we got into our luxury buses, sounds of laughter and excitement could be heard. On our way to Galle by the highway, we saw misty mountains, springs and greenery.
When we reached Galle we went to the DSI factory which was a huge, marvellous place. There were many machines which could do different tasks. It was very educational for us to see how they make shoes. As I want to share some of the things with you, the steps were; firstly they cut the inside sole, then they bind it. Then they make the outer parts of the shoe, make the buckles of the shoe and they stitch the outlines of the shoe. Carvings and suitable patterns are done and then comes the finished shoe!
Lunch was at Koggala Beach Hotel which was an awesome place. They invited us for some games and I had lunch near the beachside which was nice scenery to look at. Time passed so quickly that we didn’t even notice, and then it came to an end. It was a memorable trip for everyone!

Advantages and disadvantages of examinations
Examinations are held in school or college. These tests are for learning. Exams are needed to test our knowledge. Both the bright and weak students fear exams.
A student may not like exams but anyway he needs to face it. Therefore as a student we should study each day’s school lessons everyday. We need not strain ourselves too much due to exams if we plan properly for studies and set a time for other activities such as play and recreation. If a student is well prepared then he can surely get good marks. Good marks give fruit in the future.
As for the disadvantages, examinations are like a fever. If a student is nervous, he can not learn anything. Exams are not true tests of a student’s ability. The main disadvantage in our educational system is the answering of questions by cramming and not through knowledge. The test papers are also based in this manner.
Thus examinations are not the true test of one’s ability but examinations cannot be removed.
