Indian premier for Prasanna’s new film
View(s):The Indian premier for Prasanna Vithanage’s latest film “Oba Nethuwa Oba Ekka” is held at the 43rd International Film Festival of India in Goa which runs from Novmebr 20 to 30. The film will also feature in the competitive section for the first time in its international run.
The film will also represent Sri Lanka at the Kerala International Film Festival — December 7 to 14, Chennai International Film Festival — December 13 to 20 and the Bengaluru International Film Festival — December 20 to 27.
A bilingual film (Sinhala/Tamil), “Oba Nethuwa Oba Ekka” stars talented theatre actor Shyam Fernando and Indian actress Anjali Patil, Wasantha Moragoda and Maheshwari Ratnam in the main roles.
M.D. Mahindapala handled the camera, A. Sreekar Prasad edited, Lakshman Joseph De Saram wrote the musical score, Tapas Nayak sound designed and Rob Nevis was the production designer of the film.
Daminda D. Madawala is the assistant director and Ebert Wijesinghe handled the make-up. Kalpana Ariyawansa and Vindana Ariyawansa contributed as Line Producers.
A co-production between India and Sri Lanka, Lasantha Nawarathna and Mohamed Adamaly produced “Oba Nethuwa Oba Ekka”. Rahul Roy, Iranthi Abeysinghe, Sunil Fonseka and Nadira Adamaly joined as the executive producers.
