Top local designs on stage
View(s):The ‘Best of Industry’ fashion show at the Sri Lanka Design Festival held last weekend saw some of the local fashion industry’s top names take to the stage with their collections. Featured at the show were MAS Holdings, Brandix, Hirdaramani, Orient Design, Rakshaa, Penguin/Emjay, Union Apparel, Timex Garments, Textured Jersey, Star Garments, Red Cocoon, Innovative Knits, Orit, Lanka Leather and Maliban as well as the retail brand Hameedia’s.
Considering SLDF’s international focus, it was a fantastic display of international fashion made in Sri Lanka for brands like Victoria’s Secret, Tommy Hilfiger and Nike. The show was held at the Mount Lavinia Hotel on Saturday, November 17.
