Amity Lite opens
View(s):“Amity Lite”, one of the latest state of the art cinema theatres at the Amity Shopping Complex, in the heart of Maharagama was opened last week.
The fully air conditioned theatre which consists 220 fabric seats with arm rest and equipped with a 35 mm cinematography projector, DTS (Multi channel audio technology) and Dolby SR sound system provides the ultimate viewing pleasure to the patron, saidthe Managing Director of Movie Works (Pvt), Anura Priyantha Jasenthuliyana.
The theatre was opened on November 23 with the participation of a number stars in Sri Lankan cinema and film artistes.
Amity Lite is another theatre owned by Movie Works (Pvt) which popularized the mini-theatre cinema concept with Liberty Lite cinema in Kollupitiya.
The theatre has 184 seats in ODC and 36 seats in the balcony and ticket rates are Rs: 200 for ODC full, Rs. 130 ODC half and Rs. 600 (two seats) for the balcony. The show times are 10.30 am, 2.45 pm and 6.45 pm and currently the latest Bollywood movie “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” starring Shahruk Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anusha Sharma is being screened there.
