FDO’s Jazz and all that
The newly opened BRC Club House FDO’s has become one of the most vibrat places in Colombo with FDO’s Jazz combination. A place for jazz and all that kind of music lovers is now comes alive at Burger Recreation Club (BRC) new club house, approached from the park road entrance.
Renowned musician Geoffrey Fernando of Purple Rain fame has teamed up with some of the cream of musicians from Sri Lanka’s Western circuit to form ‘Geoff & Friends’, who will be featured from Wednesday to Saturday from 9.30pm onwards with the best of jazz and all that loved by the diehard lovers of smoothing music.
Reval on guitar, Sudu on piano, Alston on bass, Diren on drums and Mano on sax provided the perfect blend of vocal and instrumental backing for Geoff all night to keep all music lovers entertained and a step down memory lane with the choice of tunes offered.
‘We will be going down from 90’s to 60’s and our speciality is ‘jazz and retro’ music. Come join the fun at BRC’s FDO’s said Geoff.
Russel Fernando of Rhythm & Blues, the mastermind behind the project will introduce more local and international acts for the coming season, safeguarding the concept and adding more customer favourites of jazz and all that to the menu constantly.
‘FDO’s offer some of the best wines and cocktails from around the world with a wider range of products hardly seen in Colombo along with a well stocked beverages and finger bites to keep all interested’ said Russell.
