CFC win opener over Jupiter SC
Colombo Football Club trounced Jupiter Sports Club by 4-1 in their opening fixture of the Division One Premier League Football Tournament fixture at Negombo recently.
The opening goal of the match was notched up by Channa Nissanka to give Jupiter SC the lead. Colombo FC equalised when Nigerian forward Adinuba Frank opened their account. Colombo FC took the lead when centre Francis also a Nigerian received a cross pass from centre forward Adinuba Frank to find the back of the Jupiter SC net.
Colombo FC increased their lead when left extreme Z. Usman passed to striker A.M.A. Aslam to make the tally 3-1 and the final goal was off the boot of centre half Tuan Fahath who after collecting the ball in the Jupiter half dribbled his way to fire in the final goal and make give Colombo FC a 4-1 win.
