Lakmali somersaults her way to gold

R.H. Ganeshika Lakmali of President’s Girls’ School in Walahanduwa, Galle won four medals at the recent All-Island Schools Gymnastics Championship. She won a gold and three silver medals at the championship, representing her school in the Under-19 age category.
Lakmali won a gold medal in the balance beam competition while claiming three silver medals in the floor exercise, pommel horse and uneven bars events. Lakmali, who has been involved in gymnastics for over 12 years, has won many awards at district and national level tournaments.
