Manawadu conquers two-mile sea swim

Kaushal Manawadu of St. Joseph’s College Colombo proved his swimming prowess recently when he won the two-mile sea swim conducted by Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda.

Last year he was placed fourth and this time around he has improved as a swimmer to win the most recognised sea swim race to be held in Sri Lanka. In addition, Manawadu won the two-mile sea swim competition held at Boosa, Galle, organised by the Gemunu Sports Club of Pitiwella. He was also placed second at the five kilometre sea swim organised by the Sri Lanka Aquatics Sports Union this year.
