SLIIT and Illinois State University sign MoU
View(s):SLIIT recently tied up with Illinois State University – USA by signing a MoU for academic exchange and co-orporation in teaching, research and training for advancement and dissemination of learning.
Both institutions have agreed to an exchange of scholars and faculty for the benefit of students and staff. Illinois State University, considered to be the oldest public university in Illinois, is also recognised as one of the top ten largest producers of teachers in the United States according to the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education. The University
places strong focus on research and its School of Information Technology provides premier undergraduate and graduate programmes for the education of computing and telecommunications professionals. These programmes are accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET.

Wood – Dean College of Applied Science and Technology, Professor Richard Boser – Professor and Chair, Department of Technology, Professor Joaquin Vila-Ruiz – Head – School of Information Technology, Mary Elaine Califf – Associate Director, and Professor Klaus Schmidt – Department of School of Information Technology.
