Just before it was announced that Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake had been convicted on three charges, the besieged head of the Judiciary is seen offering flowers at the Dalada Maligawa in Kandy yesterday. She was accompanied by husband Pradeepa Kariyawasam, who is also facing a corruption case, and their son Shaveen. The Chief Justice and family also met the Mahanayake Theras of the Malwatte and Asgiriya Chapters.
