Adinuba Frank sparkles in CFC win
View(s):Nigerian Adinuba Frank who has been signed on for Colombo Football Club as their forward had magic in his boots to fire a hat-trick
for his adopted club when they trounced Kandy York SC 4-0 in a Premier Division One soccer fixture at Bogambara Stadium, Kandy recently. At the short whistle, Colombo FC held a one nil lead.
The game had hardly got underway, when in the fourth minute of play, forward A.M.A. Aslam worked his way through the Kandy York defense and Adinuba Frank thundered the ball past a bewildered goal keeper Sudesh Upendra.
After the turn around, mid field T.R.T. Fahath got his act together to put CFC two up in the 51st minute. From that point it was all Adinuba Frank. He first goaled a penalty to make it 3-0 in the 60th minute and 15 minutes later, he was in position to boot his third goal and the fourth for CFC off a pass from forward A.M.A. Aslam.
Another feature of the game was the superb job done between the posts by CFC captain, M.N.M. Imran who brought off some magnificient saves to deprive Kandy York of many certain goals.
With this win, Colombo Football Club keep their slate clean with four wins out of a similar number of games.
The game was refereed by N.D.S. Nakalanda.
