Vijayaba qualify for Under 15 division three final
Vijayaba National School Hungama qualified for the final of the under 15 division three cricket tournament. They defeated Richmond College Galle by 47 runs at the Vijitha Central College grounds in the semi final played on Tuesday (27th).

With this win Vijayaba NS qualify to play in division two of the Under 15 schools cricket tournament in 2013.
On being asked to bat first, Vijayaba NS scored 119 runs in 43.3 overs. Skipper Rukshan Dhananjaya and Supun Devinda scored 30 runs each while Muditha Hashan scored 20 runs. E M. V Hasaral captured four wickets for 22 runs in his allocation of ten overs while K. Kevin captured three wickets for 24 runs.
Richmond College were in a strong position at 25 / 1 in the 4th over but Lalan Maheela (2 for 8 ) and Ramindu Gunathilaka (1 for 4) took three quick wickets without conceding a single run and subsequently Richmond were all out for 72 runs in 38.3 overs. Pasan Piyumantha scored 15 runs while Lalan Maheela, Muditha Hashan and Praneeth Jayasanka captured two wickets each. Supun Devinda bowled his ten overs and conceded only seven runs capturing one wicket. A M Priyantha and P Surendra officiated as umpires while Sisira Weerasinghe was the match referee.
