Jacqueline launches ‘Perpetual Grace’ in her stride
Jacqueline Fernandez making a grand entrance astride a magnificent thoroughbred was a spectacle to remember. The former Miss Sri Lanka and Bollywood actress was resplendent in riding breeches and sparkling diamonds as she launched Colombo Jewellery Stores’ ‘Perpetual Grace’, at the appropriately named ‘The Stables’, Park Street Mews on Friday, December 7.
Inspired by CJS founder Thaha Cassim’s undying passion for all things equestrian, ‘Perpetual Grace’ embraces the high end glamour and grace of the sport. Mr. Cassim was a renowned horseman in his day, with his prized steed Golden Buckles galloping to victory at a 1951 race. In honour of the milestone, he created and designed a one-of-a kind timepiece with the expertise of a renowned Swiss watchmaker.
That legacy inspired Perpetual Grace, a collection that CJS Chairman Akram Cassim declared symbolic of the eternal grace inherent in horses. Jacquie, the unquestionably elegant Brand Ambassador for CJS, was eloquent in her praise for the collection, laughingly adding that “all the bruises and the falls with the horse during shooting were fully worth it!”
