Lladro, the world famous handcrafted porcelain is now available in Sri Lanka. Exclusive Lines, the agent for this fine porcelain from Spain opened the Lladro flagship store at Crescat Boulavard earlier this week.

The launch took place prior to the opening of this store with a news conference at the Cinnamon Grand. Addressing the media, Director of Exclusive Lines, Hiru Surtani was hopeful that with the rapid development taking place in Sri Lanka, and the change of lifestyles, it is the right time to have this luxury porcelain available for connoisseurs of fine art.

The store unveiled a limited collection, carefully chosen for the Asian market with exquisite handcrafted objects of art and of Hindu and mythical sculptures.

Lladro has 4000 sales points in 125 countries. Every porcelain piece characterised by excellence coupled with technical and other resources is made through a delicate process where the design is transferred to exquisite porcelain. Francisca Sanjuan Molla, the veteran flower artist with 40 years of experience with Lladro who was flown in from Spain for this launch demonstrated her skill in creating signature Lladro flowers that are picture perfect.
