Maneuvering their crafts through an erratic breeze, Sri Lanka’s top sailors took to the seas near the Panadura Fisheries Harbour to jostle for supremacy in the preliminary races of the Sailing Nationals yesterday. Competitors from several schools and clubs participated in four classes - Optimist, Laser, Enterprise and GP 14 - as well as for the first time in Windsurfing and Kitesurfing events. Today will be the competition’s final day, with action beginning from 10 a.m. in Panadura. - Pic by Amila Gamage
