St. John’s Jaffna defeat Royal Panadura
St. John’s Jaffna defeated Royal Panadura by 31 runs in the limited over encounter played at the Sri Palee ground in Horana. The Johnians were first guided by Jeyakumar Amidyan and Perinbarajah Brinthapan who helped the side make a decent score.
The pair put on a valuable 57 runs stand for the eighth wicket when the Johnians were in deep trouble and struggling on 129 for 7 which enabled them to end their innings making a modest score of 199.Later their bowlers Shanthakumar Praveenshan, Sarveswaran Sivaluckshan and Sivanesan Gavaskar combined with the trio sharing eight wickets between them to restrict Royal Panadura to a score of 168.
