The much talked subject in the oval ball circuit is about a lady who would do anything to get her share of the job done. This lady is supposed to have befriended an official at a competition held in a neighbouring country and had wormed her way into the island with this official’s help. She has even been given a top job with the Boss of the Sport and also conducts training classes for women involved in the game. Those involved in the sport say that she will do anything to have her way and usually this is how she operates.

Dedicated worker

A top tournament held in Sri Lanka is over but the office still functions and they have been given time until December 30 to complete all their work. Nevertheless an official who had worked in this office earlier has decided to come back and continue to work until the office closes officially on the due date. Insiders say that it is the lure of the money that has drawn this official back and there are certain officials helping him in this endeavour.

What a let down!

A top four nation football competition took place in the outstations recently. However the host team who failed to be in the final had returned to Colombo without waiting to witness the final. Large crowds watched the final and absorbed the game to their hearts desire. When members of team were asked why the host team returned to Colombo without waiting for the final they say that the organizers had told them to leave the hotel that they were booked in! Normally the losers stay to watch a final of this nature, even if they are ousted, because they can learn from the game and especially as they are the host team as well. What a let down!

Double games

The Sing team who fund the oval ball games of the schools have made half a million for the teachers to have fun in Bangkok. Some say nay this is wrong the funds was to run an under 16 tournament. Hitler like Ran Chan knows how to oil some who play double games among them the Moratuwa and Gem City man.

The cat is out of the bag

The Big Chiefs of the Oval met with the nuts and bolts to discuss the ways to tighten the screws. Shawny of the Hills said some of the Dancers do well in club tournament as they take Supplements. He let the cat out of the BAG by saying they don’t do well when playing for the country as they are not supplemented.

Climber in a fix

Not qualified

The strange thing is that she is not even qualified to be in the organizing panel for next year as she will have to relinquish her post due to the rules of the ruling body. This particular lady did not even attend a seminar which was due to be held in a foreign country as she is not so fluent in English, the medium in which the meeting was organized.

Carry on regardless

The coach of an up-and-coming sportsman down south is sad that the lad has been detected as one who takes banned substances to enhance his performances. This coach has said to some of his near and dear friends that he has methods to feed banned substances to sportsmen and they cannot be spotted until the event is long over. If for instance the event is in January, the substances he recommends cannot be detected until the end of February or March. This according to knowledgeable sources is the latest where banned substances to be taken by athletes are concerned.
