eCybersec wins Gold Award at Hacking Challenge – Cyber Security Week 2012

Sri Lanka CERT|CC (Computer Emergency Readiness Team | Co-ordination Centre) was established as Sri Lanka’s National CERT, by the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and acts as the focal point for Cyber security for the nation.
The Hacking Challenge is a contest for Security Professionals to attack and defend an actual network within 4 hours. It’s participants were Technical Security Professionals, Network Administrators, System Administrators and students of information security courses, the eCybersec company said in a media release. eCybersec CEO Sanjee Balasuriya said that winning the “Hacking Challenge Contest” has proved the company’s highest capabilities in understanding the security issues pertaining to emerging technologies and expertise in being able to successfully develop platforms to mitigate the risks posed by upbeat technologies.
