Dressed in white tuxedos the Lanerolle Brothers made their way up to centre-stage at the Galadari Main Ballroom, heralding in the spirit of Christmas with a heart-warming performance at “Calling all Carollers” held on December 11at the Galadari Hotel.

With their customary charm, Rohan and Ishan De Lanerolle sang many of the age old carols, taking the audience on a nostalgic journey. Rohan mingled with the audience through song, requesting a sing-along as the lyrics of each carol were projected on two giant screens, on either side of the stage. The audience embracing the Christmas spirit sang their hearts out.

A brief history of each carol was narrated before Rohan and Ishan smoothed into them with their pitch-perfect harmonies – something you’d expect by default at a Lanerolle Brothers concert.

Dinner was served but as the clatter of silverware picked up, it was silenced by probably the most powerful performance of the night – “The Prayer”. The Lanerolle Brothers had their audience enrapt, and dinner was temporarily forgotten.

Special highlights of the show were the Singaporean choir ‘Vocal Consort’ as they sang ‘Long time ago in Bethlehem’ with the Brothers, and an energetic performance of ‘Rudolph the red nosed reindeer’ by some of the youngest choristers.

‘O come all ye faithful’ ended the night as the Lanerolle Brothers bade farewell to their fans.
