Dilshan’s music creates new dramas
View(s):Talented musician Dilshan Liyanapathirana is the newest music creator for theatric productions in the year 2013.
His latest music direction for the popular stage drama ‘Sen and Shane’ directed by K. D. Wasantha Kumara will be staged for the State Drama Festival 2013.
The theme song he crated for the production is sung by popular singer Damayanthi Jayasuriya. Dilshan’s latest music direction is for the drama ‘Blue Sky’, directed by Nuwan Adeesha.
Dilshan, an Advanced Level student of Nalanda College, Colombo, is a disciplined student and a hard working up and coming musician. He study music as a subject to his A/L exam and is a talented and a versatile in Western and Eastern music.
He was awarded Merit at the music festival organized by Young Music foundation of Royal Institute for his creations in midi, BST, cover music in December last year.
Apart from my studies, I get involved in various types of projects in the field. Compsing music and directing are two of my main area of interest. I did quite a few commercials and theatre productions last year. I am much anticipated in getting an opening for the tele-drama scene this year’ Dilshan said.
He can play any kind of music instrument but his favourite is guitar and piano. ‘Mixing music and creating new song are my favourite pass time’ he added.
