Gateway Graduate School offers Scholarships up to 70%
View(s):Gateway Graduate School is to offer scholarships for their Business, Computing, Engineering, Science and Arts programmes to students based on their Advanced Results. The decision to do so has been made following the recent success of the organisation, where once again Gateway produced several High Achievers who obtained outstanding results in their Foundation and the First Years of the Degree courses. The scholarships have also been extended to the existing students where the Global High achievers will receive a 40 % scholarship and the Regional High achievers receive a 25 % scholarship, for their subsequent year of study.
Business and Computing:
Gateway Graduate School, in partnership with NCC Education UK, offers a choice of two career pathways to complete Degrees in Business or Computing, in Sri Lanka. In both Degrees, students are able to receive industry recognized qualifications – Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas, from NCC Education UK on successful completion of the first and the second years. The courses are offered on both part-time and full-time basis and students have the option of completing the full programme in Sri Lanka or transferring to overseas universities in UK, New Zealand, Malaysia or Australia at the end of every academic year. Gateway also conducts NCC Education’s International Foundation Programme for those students who wish to join the Degree after OLs.
Engineering, Science and Arts:
Gateway Graduate School, in partnership with the University of Canterbury, New Zealand’s prestigious University that is ranked among the top 2% in the world, provide structured pathways for students to begin their Undergraduate Degrees in Sri Lanka and graduate in New Zealand. The University of Canterbury, established in 1873 by scholars of Oxford and Cambridge, has gained an international reputation for academic excellence in teaching and research. The UC degree programmes are offered under 4 main disciplines; Engineering, Science/Mathematics, Commerce and Arts. Students are able to complete both the Foundation Programme and the first year of the Degree in Sri Lanka.
Students studying at UC are provided with opportunities to gain work experience and supplement their funds while studying. The students also have the possibility of working in New Zealand after they have completed their studies. Once they have completed their studies in NZ, and obtained a NZ qualification, they may be eligible for a Graduate Job Search Visa that is designed to assist eligible graduates in finding work in New Zealand.

Teacher Training
Gateway Graduate School has also designed a new teaching course to offer a recognized qualification to all teachers and to improve the standards of teaching in international and private schools throughout Sri Lanka. The Edexcel Professional Diploma in Teaching offered by Gateway Graduate School is proving to be the most sought-after teacher training course in Sri Lanka.
Aviation and Commercial Piloting:
‘The Aviator” Degree Programme that is to commence in 2013, is a joint effort of three globally acclaimed partners, with Buckinghamshire New University UK academic course modules delivered through Gateway Graduate School as facilitator and Skyline Aviation (Pvt) Ltd delivering the ground school and flight training facilities. The 3-year full-time B.A. (Hons) Degree course (consisting of 6 semesters) in Air Transport that initially produces commercial pilots, gives an added academic qualification of a Degree that will enhance the portfolio to progress into command and management roles. Beginners with 6 passes in the GCE Ordinary Level examination with credit passes for English Language and Mathematics can apply for the Degree.
