Continuing Ajahn Brahmavamso’s programme in Sri Lanka, his senior pupil Ajahn Brahmali will be here in early February to conduct a meditation retreat. He will conclude his visit with a lecture at the BMICH on Sunday, February 10. He will speak on the ‘Significance of Buddhism in the Modern World’.

He completed Masters Degrees in engineering and finance, before renouncing the world of industry and commerce to be ordained as a bhikkhu with Ajahn Brahm as his preceptor in 1996.
Apart from being responsible for the building work at Ajahn Brahamavamso’s Bodhinyana Monastery in Perth, Australia, Ajahn Brahmali teaches the monastic rules and gives Pali classes.
Ajahn Brahmali’s clear and thoughtful lectures make the teachings of the Buddha accessible to all and are very popular downloads on the BSWA (Buddhist Society of Western Australia) website. He teaches regularly at BSWA and in Singapore. Ajahn Brahmali has also published a number of articles on important points of the Dhamma.
Ajahn Brahm Society of Sri Lanka will issue passes for the BMICH lecture from the Narada Book Centre at Sarana Road off Bauddhaloka Mawatha, and the Sambuddhatva Jayanthi Bookshop at Thunmulla Junction.
