Double trouble

The Big Man in Sports has asked a leading sports body to reduce their staff. When this was being announced a certain official was being introduced and the strange thing is that this official, who was facing the interview, is a former official and if this particular person is taken, which seems certain, the official will be in office for three years. The normal procedure is that an official for a post of this nature is taken for only one year. At the same time a secretary too was being interviewed for this official. It so happens that this secretary who was facing the interview had taken a big loan from the same association and had still not settled the amount.

Hush, hush

A top sports personality was being interviewed behind closed doors for a top job not yet disclosed. Nobody knows the interviewer or the person who is being interviewed. Everything is hush, hush. It is said that those in the Print Media will not be considered for this job but what about the Electronic Media? They say that this guy has something to do with the electronic media and is trying to grab this post. Only time will disclose the secrets of the deal.

No scandals please

The Big Man in Sports has stopped a top official from quitting her post. The reason why this lady wants to quit her post is because she says that her immediate superior is not suited, nor qualified to hold the post that he is currently holding. The Sports Big Shot does not want a scandal, which is sure to follow once the news is out that this lady official has stepped down for reasons best known to her.
Down the drain
Recently a meeting took place of a leading sports association but sadly there were only 17 people to attend the all-important meeting. Earlier a top sports official refused to attend this meeting even after he was coaxed to do so after a drinking binge. This body requires a quorum of 21 from its 60 members. And so the decisions taken at the meeting have gone down the drain.

You scratch my back

An official who is drawing a salary of Rs. 80,000 as a coordinator is now trying to get in the good books of the chaps he is controlling. For a job that requires eight persons he has recruited 26 personnel. The idea is that the people he has recruited will someday support him when the moment comes – which of course is the AGM of this body. It looks as if it is a case of you scratch my back, I will scratch yours.

High and dry

A sports body obtained the services of a Korean coach to improve their standards. When this official bade farewell he had handed over equipment worth Rs. 450,000 to be distributed among officials and sportsmen of this association. Amongst the gifts given by this officials were walkie-talkies which come in useful when taking part in cycle races. The strange thing is that all this valuable equipment has gone to only one sporting body while the others have been left high and dry. So how can the sport improve asks those who are in the know.
