Tintagel, Villa Bentota come out winners
View(s):Paradise Road Hotels Tintagel and The Villa Bentota were the winners of the prestigious TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards 2013. TripAdvisor is the world’s largest travel site with more than 60 million visitors each month and uses millions of reviews and opinions from its users to decide the recipients of this award.
Tintagel, a private 10 suite hotel was opened in Colombo in 2007 to rave reviews. It was included in the Conde Nast Hot List in the opening year itself.
TripAdvisor contains almost 130 reviews for Tintagel from visitors.
The Villa Bentota opened its doors in 2009, and in its three functional years there are almost 120 reviews for the destination on TripAdvisor.
“This is no glittering reporters’ review,” said the management of the hotels.
“These are real people having stayed at the properties as paying guests and the awards are based on their choices of the best places to stay. It is a true and sincere honour.”
