“I’m delighted that my participation in this great forum has been acknowledged. It has proved to be a tremendous opportunity to learn from people trying to find solutions to similar development challenges around the world. I have applied the knowledge and shared experiences of our work at Sarvodaya-Fusion where we work to achieve the e-empowerment of rural communities. We continue to support rural farmers through our FarmerNet platform that enables people in the agricultural industry to overcome barriers such as market volatility, lack of bargaining power and access to the best prices. We continue to look for partners that can support our ambitions of uplifting rural communities in Sri Lanka and call on the islands business community to step up to the challenge and contact us,” he said.
E-Agriculture is a global forum where people from all over the world exchange information, ideas, and resources related to the use of information and communication technologies for sustainable agriculture and rural development. The site has over 9,000 members from 160 countries.
