SAARC film day is celebrated with a cinematic gem from the rich Iranian cinema on February 22 at National Film Corporation.  ‘Family Bond’ a modern themed movie based on family and family values is from Iran, one of the Observer Member States of SAARC.

Directed by Nader Moghaddas and written by Afsaneh Monadi, ‘Family Bond’ tells the story of an old couple from the countryside, Talat and Kamali, who take a train to the capital of Iranian, Tehran, to visit their children living there. At first, they expected that this trip would go on smoothly, but the fact was that all their children were busy with their own affairs, so that no one wanted to take care of them. As a result, they had to move from one child’s home to another.

The film stars Azifa Tavkashvand, Shirin Betad, Ali Nasirian, Behrouz Baghai and Azadeh Shams. The film screening is at 6.30 pm and entrance is free of charge.
