Sampath Children’s savings account holders fly to Singapore
View(s):As a truly national bank envisioning the future of a next generation, Sampath Bank has been in the forefront of encouraging the savings habit within its younger depositors. Apart from the numerous offers and gifts available to these depositors, the Bank will fly three children who had the highest deposits in their Pubudu and Sapiri accounts during the past year for a four day holiday to Singapore. The three lucky winners, siblings Tharindu Fernando and Gimsarani Fernando and Natali Shahani Perera will be accompanied by their parents and families.
Mr. Tharaka Ranwala, Deputy General Manager – Marketing & Business Development stated,”At Sampath Bank, we have always had a clear vision for our young depositors and instilled in them the benefits of saving. We hope that this incentive and motivation will teach the children of this nation the right way to a better future and a better world.”
Speaking on behalf of her children, Tharindu and Thisarani, the mother, Mrs. S. Gunatilleka said, “We have been banking with Sampath Bank for a very long period of time. It is not just our trust in them but also because the Bank gives our children the right direction and support. This is another example of how the Bank has encouraged our children that saving can be fun.”
Sampath Bank also offers insurance policies for these account holders based on their savings deposits at the Bank’s Pubudu and Sapiri Children’s accounts. Another initiative started by the Bank involves cash prizes up to Rs. 40,000 for students who have excelled in the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination at a district and national level.
“Along with these offers, we also offer the highest interest rates to our depositors,” added Mr. Ranwala.
