Huawei Media Pad 10 FHD tablet enters SL
View(s):The Huawei Media Pad 10 FHD tablet has launched locally, according to an announcement by Huawei’s national distributor for Sri Lanka, Singer. The local retailer introduced this 10.1 inch, Android 4.0 device into Sri Lanka following its September 2012 global launch.
According to Singer Sri Lanka’s launch announcement; “Equipped with Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System (ICS), the 8.8mm slim media pad boasts the smallest quad-core chip in the industry, running on HUAWEI’s proprietary 1.2 GHz K3 quad-core processor which provides incredibly fast processing power and high speed internet access (HSPA+) support, making the tablet a front-runner for high definition video clips or games.
Additionally, the 10.1 inch full HD 1920 x 1200 IPS display supports multi-touch and footprint-proof, combined with Dolby surround sound technology which provides users with a holistic entertainment experience, be it playing games, watching HD movies or listening to music. The Media Pad is also installed with an 8 megapixel rear auto-focus camera which supports high definition video recording, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera which supports video calls. It also includes 2GB RAM for fast access between applications”.
The announcement also noted that the device had an “internal memory of 8GB which is expandable up to 32GB, has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, and supports social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Google Play and Twitter, to name a few. Users can also leverage on office software, PDF Reader, File Manager, e-mail facilities and a whole host of exciting applications geared to support business and entertainment needs, ideal for active business professionals”.
Further, it was also indicated that the device had a “sleek exterior [made] of trendy aluminum-alloy materials, resulting in a glossy and light finish”.
