‘Peace Music Festival 2013’ is an attempt to drive away the last vestiges of conflict through music and song. Leading the effort are musicians Rukshan Perera, Lankika Perera, Mariazelle Goonetileke and Jaffi Isaac who will perform at the Hindu College grounds in Batticaloa at the Peace Music Festival on March 15, 16 and 17 at 6 p.m.

They will be backed by talented musicians such as Chrys Wikramanayake, Hillary Christie and Roylie Andrews. “We intend using music as a medium, a platform from which we can usher in a new era of peace and reconcilliation,” said Pastor Dayalan Sanders, President – Good Samaritans Church, Batticaloa, one of the organisers of the festival.
