The whole of Paris saw her famous derriére at a Fashion Week party on Tuesday. But Kate Moss will soon be showing off a whole lot more as she’s reportedly set to pose for Playboy Magazine, starring on the cover of its 60th anniversary issue. The 39-year-old is rumoured to be shooting the spread in London this month with fashion photography duo Mert and Marcus, due to hit newsstands in January next year.
While the magazine is yet to confirm the supermodel as their milestone cover star, website NowThisNews has claimed to have received a leaked memo confirming it.
The secret memo, from the Playboy offices, confirms that the British star is lined up to cover the magazine’s major issue this year and will be styled by Alex White from fashion magazine W.
Kate is no stranger to provocative cover shoots, seemingly less shy about her body than she was when she first started out as a fresh-faced teen. She most recently posed with Rihanna on the cover of V Magazine, embracing their S&M alter egos for the racy shoot which saw them completely strip down. And the model has also shot a number of revealing covers for Love Magazine, the most recent one showing her lying in a bath with just a skimpy black T-shirt on.
But it seems that the mother-of-one is going one step further, posing for Hugh Hefner’s landmark publication, reaching a much wider audience. Iconic photographers Mart and Marcus have snapped the likes of Madonna, Lindsay Lohan and Charlotte Rampling over the years and shot Victoria Beckham’s provocative Armani campaign.
Never one to play it safe, Kate gave the world a taste of what they are in for as she hit the catwalk for Louis Vuitton in an embellished sheer gown during the show on Wednesday.
Walking in a short black wig to the the sound of Alexandre Desplat from Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life, the supermodel proved that she’s still got the ability to surprise her fans.
