CIMA Convocation – 3 World Prizes for Sri Lanka
View(s):Ms Ayoma Priyadharshani Nanayakkara, Ms. Shalanika Gangani Dayarathna, and Mr. Liyanapathiranage Nipuna Dilshan did Sri Lanka proud by securing 3 World Prizes at the CIMA November 2012 Examination .
These 3 students and 15 National Prize winners were all recognized at the bi annual convocation celebrating success of 307 students who graduated in September and November 2012.
The November 2012 exam result which marks the sixth diet of examinations under the 2010 syllabus has seen excellent student performances from around the world. This highlights CIMA’s code of thics that dedication and coaching can produce exemplary results.
Referring to the World Prize winners it was noted that the best performance in Performance Operations was a joint award shared by Ms. Shalanika Gangani Dayarathna & Mr. Liyanapathiranage Nipuna Dilshan obtaining 94 marks each. Ms Ayoma Priyadharshani Nanayakkara secured the prize for best performance in Finance Management obtaining 95 marks.
It is noteworthy to mention that the fifteen Sri Lankan prize winners, have all been ranked amongst the first ten in the world bringing honour to Sri Lanka. The outstanding performances of Sri Lankan students are a testimony of the sheer dedication and the competence of the CIMA tutors in Sri Lanka who are extremely high in the world.
In back to back events CIMA Sri Lanka felicitated the Associate and Fellow members who obtained their memberships during the year 2012. It was an esteemed occasion whereby a total of 15 members were awarded certificates in felicitation of the honorary title “Fellow member” and another 498 “Associate members” were recognized on this occasion.
Chief Guest at the event was the CIMA President Mr Gulzari Babber.
