The deep voice which regenerated the revolution of the 70’s, Rajiv Sebastian is all out to expose ‘The Unforgettable Story of Sinhala Pop’ in the form of a spectacular concert, on 31st March at the picturesque Lotus Pond (Nelum Pokuna).
Billed to perform along with Rajiv are – the Prince of Sinhala Pop – Annesley Malawana, the nightingale of the 70’s – Indrani Perera, the dynamic – Anil Bhareti, the glamorous – Shayami Fonseka, the one and only “Kandy Lamissi” – Mariazelle Goonetilleke, Tamil Pop Chakarawarthy – A. E. Manoharan (exclusively flown from India), Teenage heart throb of the 80’s – Priya Sooriyasena, the back to back Presidential Award winner – T.M. The story-board for the evening will unfold the journey of Sinhala Pop by veteran Vijaya Corea with the hidden tales of Moonstones, Golden Chimes and The Super Golden Chimes, beginning from Ruwanpuraya to Kataragama and there onwards the milestones achieved in the film and teledrama industry. Gayani Karunaratne of Gayani Dance Studio would add the choreography glamour by going up to the extent of using the traditional ‘Kohomba Kaley’ in creating the atmosphere of Kataragama using the maximum advantage with the collapsible stages at Nelum Pokuna.
