Rear Admiral Lakshman Illangakone was elected president of Kandy Garden Club (KGC) at its annual general meeting held at the club premises recently. Samantha Uduwela was elected as the secretary of KGC while Dr. Chaminda Ekanayake and S. Sri Konde were eected as vice president and treasurer respectively.
The KGC, established in 1878 is one of the oldest sports clubs in the country. The club which is situated at the upper end of Kandy Lake has four tennis courts and the best facilities available for billiards and snooker in the Hill Capital.
