Rewarding Outstanding Accomplishments and Achievements Related to Engineering
Top engineering organizations will vie alongside engineers for this year’s Engineering Excellence Awards- 2013 conducted by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), to be announced soon.’ –President Elect, IESL, Eng. W.J.L.S Fernando.
Sri Lanka’s topengineering organizations will be honoured for outstanding demonstration of professionalism and pursuit of excellence in their scope of activities, thereby contributing to the development of the country and improvement of standard of living of the 
people.
Organizations under the categories; Manufacturing (Large), Manufacturing (Medium), Infrastructure – Construction, Infrastructure – Services and Engineering Services will vie to clinch top awards in their respective categories and to bask in the prestige and limelight associated with winners of those coveted awards.
Through this award the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), the premier body for the engineering profession in the country, hopes to encourage and celebrate excellence in the science and practice of engineering by rewarding the best and the finest of engineering organizations and enterprises in Sri Lanka for their outstanding accomplishments and achievements related to engineering. Details of application procedure will be announced soon in national newspapers.
These awards are besides the many other award categories; Eminence in Engineering, Excellence in Engineering for Individuals, Award for Excellence in Engineering Journalism, Engineering Entrepreneur, Young Chartered Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Social Responsibilities & Environment, Engineering Heritage and Outstanding Engineering Education for which outstanding achievements and accomplishments by engineers and engineering related entities will once again be in the limelight vying for the most coveted awards in Engineering and Engineering Entrepreneurship in the Country.
