Gaveshini named Methodist’s Most Outstanding Sportsperson

Fourteen-year-old Gaveshini Abeygunawardena was named the Most Outstanding Sportsperson for 2012, at the Methodist College prize giving, which was held at the college auditorium on March 8.
Apart from winning the Under 15 singles and doubles championships for tennis and badminton, she was also a member of her house netball and basketball teams that emerged champions in her age category.
She currently represents her school in tennis and basketball and regularly represents her house, Resterick, at swimming, netball, basketball and tennis.
