Nokia introduces Lumia 920, 820 and 620 to SL
View(s):Mobile phone maker Nokia has introduced its range of Lumia Windows Phone 8 smart phones into Sri Lanka, according to a statement recently issued by the company. First unveiled in 2011, the Lumia range was most recently refreshed as of November 2012, kicked off by the launch of the 920 and 820, which was soon followed by the 620 being added to the product range in January 2013.
Entering the local market with its Lumia 920, 820 and 620 smart phones, Nokia is also giving customers who purchase these products during Avurudu (Sinhala New Year) a free, year-long 3G data package with Dialog, Mobitel and Etisalat.
Further, the statement also noted; “The models launched include the Nokia Lumia 920 that has the latest advances in Nokia PureView imaging innovation.
Using advanced floating lens technology, its camera takes in five times more light than competing smartphones without using flash, making it possible to capture clear, bright pictures and video indoors and at night. Additionally, Nokia Lumia 920 is the first integrated wireless charging smartphone, with the technology built right into the handset. The Nokia Lumia 920 is available at a price of Rs. 99,900/- in four exciting colours.
The Nokia Lumia 820 comes with exchangeable shell covers in a range of vibrant colours, including the option to add wireless charging. It also boasts the world’s most sensitive touchscreen and Nokia ClearBlack display technology, ensuring easy visibility in the brightest sunlight. The Nokia Lumia 820 is available at a price of Rs. 69,900 and will come in four colours.
More fun and more youthful, the Nokia Lumia 620 uses a new dual-shot colour technique to deliver a variety of striking colour and texture effects. With five different exchangeable shells to choose from, people can adapt the look of their Nokia Lumia 620 to their own personal taste and style. With NFC support, the Nokia Lumia 620 can easily share a nd receive content by tapping with compatible devices. The Nokia Lumia 620 will come in 3 colours and is available at a price of Rs. 38,900″.
Meanwhile, according to the statement, the combination of Nokia’s and Microsoft’s capabilities allow for an “integration of service assets across location, search, entertainment, head-turning designs, leading imaging capabilities, social and Internet performance with one-touch social network access, easy grouping of contacts, integrated communication threads, Internet Explorer 9 and thousands of apps on the Windows Phone Store”.
