The Anula Vidyala Nugegoda ‘A’ side played some inspired table tennis to beat Ladies’ College ‘A’ 3-1 and march away with the Under 14 Girls’ ‘C’ Division Championship, which was played at the S. Thomas’ College Indoor Stadium in Mount Lavinia.
The Anula team, captained by Sethma Nilmini, beat Maliyadewa Balika (3-0), Dharmasoka College (3-0) and Ladies’ College ‘B’ (3-0) on the road to the finals.
Anula continued its dominance with their ‘C’ team emerging runners-up in the ‘E’ Division after falling 2-3 to St. Anthony’s Girls’ College. They enjoyed a strong run in the tournament, beating Holy Cross College (3-2) and Bishop’s College (3-0).
